“This is the perfect place for a quiet fall getaway for a couple or small family. There is absolutely NOTHING around (exactly what we wanted), so be prepared to BRING ALL FOOD with you!! There are no local stores within 20 minutes. The house itself is quaint and eclectic. The hot tub was great and we used the fire pit on our crisp evenings.(plenty of firewood provided) The river was barely seen through the trees, but we took a stroll of the property and found the water down below. Kitchen……

“Second time ive stayed at the property. My children love it. Property owners are friendly.”

“The property needed a cleaning on the inside… cobwebs and overall dust. It seemed that no one had stayed in a while and was left as is. We had to ask the owner for washcloths because they were not provided with towels. WiFi was working half the time and was Roku so limited to watch anything. We will not stay here again but it could be a sweet place if adjusted.”

“Our tennis team rented Janie’s Place for a tournament at MTC in Brandermill. It was a 30 min drive to Midlothian, but it was an easy drive. Our host was awesome, very communicative and helpful with finding local interests. We arrived to find a delicious pie waiting for us, which we decimated . A nice, big backyard, quiet street and lovely sun decks allowed us some relaxation between our matches. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean and functional. We would definitely return. ”
