Nelson county has always been a favorite spot for us to go to, but most of the time we have made day trips. I absolutely love being able to post up for a weekend in a quiet setting and being able to relax. Even the pup enjoys the quiet and are keen to relax next to the stoves. “This is the perfect place for a quiet fall getaway for a couple or small family. There is absolutely NOTHING around (exactly what we wanted), so be prepared to BRING ALL FOOD with you!! There are no local stores within 20 minutes. The house itself is quaint and eclectic. The hot tub was great and we used the fire pit on our crisp evenings.(plenty of firewood provided) The river was barely seen through the trees, but we took a stroll of the property and found the water down below.
