“This hotel looks like it's undergoing renovations, but I don't think it is - I think that's just how it looks, eg there are various sections where the wallpaper is peeling in the common areas. My room had one single tea bag; no milk; no sugar. One lonely teabag. There is no power socket close to where they put the tv. When I moved it closer to one, all I got was No Signal. Why bother put a tv in a room if it doesn't work? There was a wardrobe but no coat hangers. It's in a good spot in central……

“There was no bedside light (despite there being two bedside tables) and no rubbish bin in the room. The curtains did not close properly. One window had a crack in it and there is no double glazing so the road outside was noisy. It was very hot, but we kept the windows closed to try to reduce the noise (no aircon).The staff were very helpful however (having moved us from a different room as the bathroom light wasn't working in that one).”

“Lovely couple that host the B &B were so nice and took great care of us. The room was spacious and full of light with many windows and yet private. Breakfast was fantastic and filling. The countryside around the home was breathtaking and remote, yet close to pubs and larger cities. ”

“Very comfortable room & bed. Superb meals in the elegant Carrier drawing room. Slight downside in that we were kept waiting to sign in. Disappointing that mostly the flowers on display were artificial, despite having a cut-flower garden outside.”
