“We stayed for several days while hiking Starved Rock. Pros:-the space was pretty clean-the beds were very comfortable -there were sufficient dishes for basic cooking-the location was convenient -it was quiet other than the intermittent train noisesCons:-we did not receive check in information until we asked for it (the host was responsive after that though!)-we were given exactly enough linens for the two of us (e.g. 2 bath towels and 4 washcloths). -the dishes for meals were sparse (e.g. 2……

“My kids, grandkids ages 8-17 stayed for 4 days in December. It was nice that the house was decorated. We enjoyed the hot tub and the ping pong table. We visited the Farnsworth House nearby which was really interesting!”

“The house was perfect for our blended family of 8! Sleeping arrangements went well with every one! The neighbors were friendly. Home owners were easy to work with and gave great recommendations on what parks to visit and where to eat. ”
