“Well maintained. Lay out provided easy access ”

“Beautiful old building which has had good levels of investment into making it a fine hotel. Very well located in the centre of town but with plenty of nearby parking. Well appointed, if small, rooms, attentive and welcoming staff although needed more staff at breakfast as many guests had to wait too long to be seated. Breakfast was excellent though, lots of choice and good quality.”

“Combination of a pandemic and a building that is five centturies old (or more): they couldn't have been better!”

“The property is very old (16th century)and full of character. Each and every member of staff that we met during our 2 day stay were very friendly, attentive and welcoming. The food was great. ”

“Great place good EV charging options(fast and overnight) though app was a pain to start. Nice hotel and lovely grounds with a good breakfast. Will happily use agai if in area ”

“The Staff are wonderful. Our room was very nice. The only item we find difficult is the cost of breakfast (£18 each) but there are choices outside of the Hotel. Apart from that we always choose the Hotel and will continue to do so - in 4 weeks we'll be back.”

“It was all excellent particularly the breakfasts and I liked having a fridge. One star lost for Eco -friendly because no container for recycling, tiny plastic containers for shampoo and my hand towel was unnecessarily replaced (although i appreciate the good intentions). I had a lovely room with antique-type decorations. ”
