“We were there just to sleep and catch plane the next morning. The bed was comfortable. The noise outside was minimal so we slept very well. The room itself was small so I wouldn't want to stay for an extended period of time (same for the lobby - small). I would stay again if I fly through again.”

“We had booked a suite, but when I checked in, the desk person told me that they had to modify my service. She explained that the people in the room brought a dog (though this was a no pet facility) and that the room had to be deep-cleaned. She apologized profusely and said they gave us two rooms right across the hall from each other at no extra charge. When we checked out the next morning, as soon as I gave the room numbers, the person at the desk (not the same as the night before) apologized……

“I love staying at this DoubleTree whenever I visit Norfolk, VA. This time, I am disappointed and appalled. Usually, I strip the beds out of courtesy because I was a housekeeper years ago. Upon removing the sheets from the bed my grandson slept in, there was blood on the mattress pad. On my bed, there was a light red stain as well as a blood stain on one of my pillowcases, and stains on both blankets. This was unacceptable. Appalled Guest - Hagerstown, MD”

“The location is good and easy to travel, but the price of the room does not match the actual configuration, the room is too small! The furniture is dilapidated, the faucet of the washbasin is shaking, and the floor tiles are broken and it is easy to injure your feet! Do not come back not recommended.”

“It would have been a perfectly lovely stay EXCEPT as we were getting there and we were standing at the counter waiting to check in, one of the employees was having a very loud, profanity filled argument with somebody on her phone, and it was so loud that the guy trying to check us in couldn't really hear us over her screaming. So we had to wait until she finished her conversation and was done storming around and slamming things in order to finish checking in and it was excruciatingly……

“We were a bit leary about staying at a small independent hotel but were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the rooms. I’m not sure but it looks like rooms were very recently renovated. The owners/ manager couple were very nice and accommodating. We will more than likely to stay there on a future trip to Norfolk. ”
