“Don't hesitate to book this cottage. It is really charming and super clean! The kitchen is incredibly well stocked. The bed and sofa are both very comfortable. The location is quiet and close to everything. There are beach chairs available which made our trip down to the beach super nice. And you can sit on the porch to watch the stars or listen to the water feature. We can't wait to come back! Thank you for having us! ”

“Pros: PERFECT location steps from the beach; three bedrooms; quirky vintage experience. Cons: as seen in photos and other reviews, this is a well loved well used very old beach cottage. While cosmetic stuff didn’t matter to us (e.g. backyard is dingy w broken toys and grills), some functional problems were annoying (kitchen sink doesn’t drain and we tried cleaning the trap and it didn’t help; one shower, once turned on, wouldn’t turn off). “Cute little ranch just down the street from the main road in Gloucester. Slept 4 adults comfortably and had everything you needed. Mile Marker One restaurant is within a half of a mile as well as a nice gas station/convenient store. Nice outdoor seating to watch the boats while having a drink. Under 3 mi from Hammond Castle and about 15 mi from Rockport and Salem.”

“This home is as amazing as the owners who loaned it to us for a week. They keep it So clean and cozy, with everything you need for a great vacation. So much room inside and outside. The horseshoe pits and corn hole was an added plus which we took full advantage of. Walking distance to everything and we were able to walk to the beach every morning to see the sunrise . Would recommend this property to anyone unless it’s the week that we want to rent it.😊”

“The Birdhouse is comfortable, casual, no muss, no fuss. Lovely communicative host. Clean, delightful and lovely location for our 3 senior ladies friend reunion. “My wife literally did not want to leave John's cottage at Summer Village. John updated and his wife tastefully decorated their cottage and thought of everything including spices, toiletries, swim toys and a fully stocked kitchen allowing for great home cooked meals.
