“The cottage was a gem - excellently located and a delightful rural retreat. More or less everything we needed was provided. A couple of drawbacks, however: the owners' need for privacy borders on obsession, with one bedroom window frosted over and sealed shut (making a dark bedroom even darker), and the double doors also closed off, with a standoffish notice guaranteed to make visitors feel like intruders. “De locatie van het huis was fenomenaal. Het uitzicht op de rivier Wye was vanaf de veranda waar je kunt zitten en eten echt heel mooi en rustgevend. Het huis is bovendien van alle gemakken voorzien en erg proper. Warm aanbevolen”

“A lovely cottage with history and character. As mentioned in the listings it would not be suitable for someone very tall or with difficulties. Facilities are excellent everything you need supplied. Parking is free but beware spaces can be all taken - it states 23 hours stay - no return for an hour, so be aware there is a car park attendant around! Cottage is within easy reach of the town and Abbey. A lovely stay”
