“We had a lovely midweek break. This property was ideally situated so we hardly used the car. The property had everything we needed and we appreciated this welcome pack!”

“Wonderful, quirky property. Extremely clean and well equipped. Cosy and comfortable. No blinds or curtains in bedroom which is in keeping with the style of the building however, if like me, you are used to sleeping in a dark bedroom then I would recommend you bring an eye mask. Lovely location with lots of nice walks and rides out. Seaham is particularly pretty. Would whole heartedly recommend a visit.Very reasonably priced for the uniqueness of the property ”

“Beautiful cottage in the heart of Beadnall just round the corner from our favourite pub The Craster Arms. Lovely cosey cottage with fabulous woodburner perfect after a walk on the nearby beach. Beds very comfy, kitchen had everything we needed. Only downside was the shower which had very little power and was therefore disappointing considering everything else in the cottage was quality. Overall a lovely family break”

“Had the pleasure of spending a couple of nights here with my partner and 3 daughters. A great place to get away and spend some quality time. It feels very remote but at the same time is close enough to drive or jump the train into Newcastle for the day. It was great sitting around the firepit in the evening after a soak in the hot tub! Plenty here for the whole family we would definitely stay again. ”

“My wife and I spent a wonderful 5 nights at the apartment. The flat and the village was exactly as Lara described. Great location for day trips to so many locations. We visited several castles including Warkworth, Alnwick, Newcastle, Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh. Also, spent a day at Hadrians Wall and nearby towns Hexham and Corbridge. Nice market on Thursday in Alnwick. Lara included a 7 day recommended tinerary in her guest guide book that was helpful.Restaurant/pub wise, we had a delicious……

“From the moment we stepped through the door we all felt at home.Swallows Nest is decorated and furnished very well. The space flows and make you feel very relaxed.The kitchen was gorgeous and to look out onto such a view. We were lucky to have the weather we had, everywhere we went was so easy to get to. Beds were so comfortable and bathrooms light and tastefully decorated. State of the art washing machine and drier made things easier too. Make sure you sample the farms honey and eggs... Best……

“Firstly the cottage was great for the price.Spacious bedrooms lounge and kitchen.Good location just off the A1, fantastically quiet but within minutes of Berwick.The house didn't feel too warm the first night but not sure if that's as it has been empty all week and storage heaters had been turned down, by the second night we were toasty warm pretty much throughout although the kitchen diner is a little chilly. The worst hotel stay in the entire trip

"Extremely poor service and stay. We were given a smaller room than we had asked for (images do not match the actual state of the room), and the air conditioner is broken; we were provided with fans but we do not have proper ventilation in our room, causing the room to be very hot and stuffy, and after taking a shower the room becomes very damp. Television does not work, and the fans aren't very good. There are also insect stains on the bedding. Service is misleading, we were told that our check out was at noon however we were urged to leave as soon as 11am came by, asking to charge us for overstaying in the hotel. Our belongings were held at the lobby as well because of this, and the staff were reluctant to return our belongings. Extremely disappointed at the service and conditions of the hotel, will not recommend it to anyone."
