“The location is perfect with the golf course right next door and sitting up on the hill overlooking the harbor. The restaurant serves wonderful meals, one of the best lobster bisque we’ve ever had. The wrap around porch is awesome with heaters. In saying all this, the inn needs some TLC. Our room had paint chipping on the walls and all around the shower. The shower head was awful. There isn’t a main door to the front desk and the one our driver brought us in was like we were walking into a……

“We loved meeting the hosts. Stephanie was gracious to let us check in early so we could change our clothes before heading to a funeral. Then Matthew served warm cookies and milk in the kitchen in the evening when we returned. We enjoyed hearing about his thru-hike in the Appalachian trail. ”

“The Candlebay Inn is a warm and cozy bed and breakfast. The house was built in the 1800’s which adds to its charm. Our family occupied two rooms and each room was clean and with the necessary amenities including private bathrooms. The owner, Connie, was very welcoming and provided us with a wonderful breakfast. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Maine!”
