“The Peaceful Cottage was very comfortable, extremely clean, and well appointed. After driving on the I-5 all day, it was a cool respite in the heat on my journey. I really liked the little yard for my dog. I only stayed one night but it is close to Redding and Shasta lake dam which was pretty to see in the evening. There are a few restaurants in Shasta Lake town but many more options in nearby Redding. Overall, it was a very nice night's stay.”

“Pleasant stay. Overall accommodations were excellent but for some minor items - no remote control for the air conditioner in the master bedroom; kitchen and bathroom sinks need some repairs; other items inconsequential.”

“More than I ever would have expected. Beautiful setting. Lovely cottage with all the amenities. Walk right out the front door into beautiful wooded areas and nearby stream and waterfall. Folks were friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. I hope to return someday soon. ”

“I went for my birthday and the house was so cute and quaint, full amenities and kitchen to cook meals at home! Such cute vintage/thrift shops in town and Tooties was the best place to go for coffee and breakfast. Would recommend going to Castle Lake nearby, and Yaks on 5 has killer burgers! Thank you for such an amazing weekend and we will definitely be back to stay again! Kathy was THE BEST! She leaves instructions for local hikes/lakes, and also has a picnic basket prepared for said trips!”

“House was in a great location - fishing 10 to 15 min, shopping 5 min. Fantastic. The house was big and set up well, beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. The yard was big and fully fenced for our little dog we brought with us. We were there for 6 days and would most definitely stay again. It's a great place ”
