“This place was amazing! The rum was clean but average. No air conditioning but with the window open, fan, and dehumidifier it was very tolerable. The amazing part. .the staff and wildlife! Everyone was very friendly and went above and beyond to assist. Every morning and afternoon the spider monkeys came by the patio. So many birds and other wildlife to see just walking the grounds. If you love seeing wildlife then this is the place for you! ”

“Holy smokes. This property is EVERYTHING. Don’t hesitate to stay here. Watching a toucan fly by the shower and hearing the birds was a core memory. Extremely close within a short walk to the hanging bridges park, which is also well worth the entry. Clean and wonderful staff. ”

“Great property right in the middle of La Fortuna. Within 30 mins drive of all the places and things you want to see/do. Beautiful view of the volcano. Friendly staff. Rooms are in very lush vegetation which gives a mystic vibe. Amazing experience all together. ”

“The property is just a 2 minute drive from La fortuna its in an excellent location that offers both peace and quiet as well as access to great restaurants and activities. The on site amenities are excellent including the restaurant. The hotel staff is attentive, helpful and very responsive. Id recommend Casa Del Rio to any couple of family in La Fortuna! Cant recommend highly enough! -Tyler and Breanna”

“This place was phenomenal! The view we had was great! This place is tucked away but the service was wonderful and breakfast and dinner were delicious!!! Communication was excellent with William! ”

“What a beautiful place and the owners and staff is so kind and makes you feel so welcome. The cabins are very nice, food is delicious and the setting is absolutely gorgeous. I wish my time here could have been longer as there is so much more to explore. I hope to bring my kids here soon.”

“The treehouse was definitely worth the stay. Even though it had no AC, it wasn't needed. The temps in the forest were perfect even at night. The sounds of the forest were amazing to fall asleep too. Woken to the sounds of toucans more than once. I would recommend having a car if staying here. Having a vehicle allowed us the freedom to come and go as needed. Overall, this was a great place to stay!”

“My wife and I loved this property. 3 adults and 2 children in our group. If you are okay with simple accommodations with great service and beautiful scenery you have to stay here. Grounds were immaculate when we arrived and we were greeted with 2 Toucans as we headed to our cabin. Tons of hummingbirds flying around. This place just felt so full of life! The hikes on the property were great. Took my 77yr old dad to the waterfall. He had no issues. We were the only ones there our first……

“We loved this property. Beautiful views. Check-in was easy and quick. Property manager was very responsive. Reason for not 5 stars is, no cleaning of room while we were there, 3 nights. Place was beautiful though. Would stay again and price was reasonable.”

“El lugar es pequeño y carece de aire acondicionado, ya que por el clima del lugar en mi opinión es necesario, pero es super tranquilo, la atención muy buena”
