“Excellent walks in the grounds”

“Stayed for one night just wanted a peaceful break and had an excellent experience. The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. We stayed in the chesterfield suite and the room was immaculate and cozy. They provided chocolate and strawberries as we were celebrating a big birthday which was a lovely surprise on arrival. Our evening meal was delicious and very filling and the service was great. Felt very safe and comfortable as well as being very quiet so great to get away to relax. No……

“Matfen Hall really is outstanding, my stay was faultless. All staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful- I was greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and my bags were taken up to my room whilst I checked in and relaxed in the Great Hall. Every nook and cranny of this hotel is gorgeous, beautifully crafted and fabulously furnished, including the room I was allocated. It was a generous size bedroom and dressing area with a huge bathroom, stunning views and light and airy in the daytime but warm……
