“The owner was very nice ”

“We spent a long weekend at this house to escape the hustle and bustle of our busy lives for our wedding anniversary. My favorite parts were watching the sunrise against the Potomac River and relaxing in the hammock. It was so quiet, save for the occasional motor boat cruising by on the far side of the river. The house had all the basic necessities, and met all of our expectations. If you’re looking for a peaceful waterfront getaway, give this house a try. ”

“This was our second visit. The autumn view is just as beautiful as the summer view. As if that weren’t enough to make our eyes twinkle, the host added lovely little touches of autumn around the house. We felt at home and at peace. ”

“The property and the cottage are just beautiful [very quiet] and incredibly well appointed. The bed is super cozy. There is no kitchen but the coffee station was great to have. Note that the cottage shares the property with the main house. My husband and I enjoyed sitting by the river multiple times during our stay and we really appreciated our hosts’ hospitality and communication. Thank you for the beautiful respite!”

“This property has some good qualities. For one, it is right on the water, and you have access to three small beaches and good fishing. It was nice to wake up and drink coffee next to the waves. The house was stocked and seemed to have everything we could’ve needed. However, for us, the negatives far outweighed the positives here. Most significantly to me, the property did not mention that the outdoor amenities - the fire pit, grills, and boats - are shared between you and the adjoining property.……

The host was very accommodating and responded immediately with any questions. I highly recommend staying here. We found this place last minute. When our other arrangements fell through and im so happy they did because this was closer and just perfect for our family.”

“This house is beautiful and has everything anyone could ask for. The scenery is spectacular too. We enjoyed sitting outside watching the sun set, just listening to the water and enjoying a fire on the beach. The kitchen is any cook's dream! The owners are wonderful and communicated with us wonderfully. We would give it a 10 rating if possible and will certainly be back. One of our best vacations!”

“This beautiful and thoughtfully furnished home provided comfortable accommodations for our group. The property manager was extremely responsive and helpful with questions and concerns about the home and the surrounding community. The pier provided convenient access to the creek for fishing and crabbing, but we found it difficult to launch a kayak and canoe from the site. The out buildings blocked our view of the serene creek from most of the home, but the creek was pretty throughout the day……

“Absolutely the grossest property I've been too. 5 spiders, 1 centipede, 1 dead cockroach. Master bedroom and bathroom both had see through curtains so people could look through. Hair in the sink and wads of hair stuck to the bathroom hinge. Window AC units had gaps in them so bugs could come in without hindrance. Leaves in the ac ducts(how). Couldn’t even cut the grass for before guest arrive. We didn't even stay there. ”
