“This cabin was an excellent escape from the big city. The mountain side gave us a perfect view of the snow blowing through the valley. And we had fun exploring the adjacent state forest area. We didn’t mind the unpaved road going to the cabin - it felt like an adventure. We saw plenty of turkey, deer, songbirds and many many stars. ”

“My wife and I had a great weekend away. We took the jeep out on the trails for the day and headed back to our awesome little stay at the covered wagon. We recommend bringing a comforter or sleeping bag. It’s easier to cool the place than warm it. It was clean and cozy! It was so nice to take a hot shower after a day full of chasing waterfalls. “Stairs getting up and down from the parking spot to the cabin were dangerous. My husband and I are in our 70’s and getting luggage back and forth plus coming in late at night was difficult. A few of the porch flood lights didn’t work. We had our 40 yr old disabled son with us and we had to walk him a long way around to get him in. There weren’t any hand rails on any of the areas with steps out front. ”

The cabin was the perfect location with the right amount of rustic and remoteness but still plenty of convenience and comfort.
