“The home is fascinating. We could have wandered throughout it for days.The detail and design are amazing. Kathy is a lovely host and the grounds are gorgeous. We were fortunate enough to see the falls in all their glory and hiked to the lower and upper levels. The deck has perfect views of all things nature and bird watching which made for a great backdrop to relax and catch up. Also, this house was SPOTLESS (a hard feat so embedded in nature). You are not far from Steel Creek Campground which……

“Great place to stay for a wedding at the Horse Head event center. Was disappointed there was only one shower. The second bathroom only had a bathtub. But the house was comfy and very clean. ”

“The house was nice and spacious for our group of 6. Had room for trailers and side by sides. Awesome area for riding. And the restaurant in front of the house is good. If you’re planning on doing lots of cooking might want to bring your own supplies as they have a limited amount of cookware. The beds were great if you like a firm bed. The communication with owners was great. Will definitely return. ”

“We loved our time at Bertie's Nest! The view off of the back deck was amazing at this time of year when everything was so green and lush. Loved seeing the ribbons of fog on the hillside and the amazing stars at night! We saw the family of deer at the back of the property as well as the osprey who made daily visits to the pond. The house itself was nicely decorated and had everything we needed! There were a total of 3 bathrooms, which was very handy, even though there was just the two of us! Will……

“The three Goetz siblings and their extended family of 18 total slept comfortably at the Perch! Beautiful view of Horseshoe Canyon! Near to the Buffalo River and Lost Valley Trail plus others. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our family meals. Spacious dining tables for eating and games! Outdoor fire pit was lovely! Very clean and well kept facility. Would highly recommend! Communication with the host was quick and easy!”
