“We had a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful, nestled in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful lake across from the entrance. The property is beautiful and full of southern charm. The room we stayed in was the Captain’s Room which is nautical themed and featured a jacuzzi tub (I unfortunately didn’t get to test out the jacuzzi function though). It was adorably decorated and very cozy. Breakfast service in the morning takes place in the common area of the office. Everything was delicious……

“New favorite spot to stay in Mt. Dora! From booking, through, check in, and during the entire stay, a well executed and curated space. For a historic building they've done a great job to make it comfortable. Shower is a bit tight as a result, but otherwise all perfect!”

“We were scheduled to be in this property for a few days as we were under mandatory evacuation orders. We were taken aback as the vintage cottage. The house on the same property was vacant and had garbage and lumber in the front yard. The neighborhood was in the same state of disrepair. The 'courtyard' really was a SMALL patch of pseudo grass at the back door. I had reached out to the host several times before our checkin date and received no response whatsoever. We opted to lose the money we had……

“This places just what we needed. Close to UF campus, not far from fine dining (our Anniversary weekend) Embers Grill, and near other attractions were going to sightsee. We are older and did have trouble doing the code lock to get in but the host answered the phone immediately and talked us through it in 60 seconds! Later, after our awesome date night we couldn’t get the TV to work so texted him and instantly he called us and then had us FaceTime so he could see what was going on and in a couple……
