“This hotel was amazing from the beginning to the end, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had great interactions with the front desk people and maintenance, we had small resolvable problems. This is the first one we’ve ever seen that charges for parking. If it were a football day, sure, but it wasn’t—it was a Sunday when even street parking is free. For IHG members, the fee is supposed to be waived. Later we asked for a refund, but the front desk said they needed to check with the manager since we hadn’t entered our IHG member number into the reservation. At the time of checking in, we were completely shocked and surprised by the parking fee and didn’t think to argue. Now, two days later, they still haven’t refunded our parking fee. Never booking here again. So, Holiday Inn is franchised— and this one is trying to scam money."
