“This cottage had everything we needed as a family of four! My son (12) loves to fish and we bought a 30 pole from Walmart... he spent every night fishing the creek behind the cabin. He caught trout back there which was exciting because we are from the midwest. We were also visiting to hike in the redwoods and Fern Canyon. Both were incredible and a short drive. We would absolutely stay here again... in fact this was our favorite place to stay of the entire trip. ”

“We had a great experience staying at the Coastal Farmhouse. It’s so close to Prairie Creek Redwoods! We spent our first 3 days hiking various trails and basking in the beauty of the Redwoods. It’s truly breathtaking. We took the bikes to the ocean which the “kids” labeled the bone yard because of the incredible amount of washed up trees and branches there. You do need to walk over those to get to the beach/ocean. Again just amazing. Plenty of activities and games provided to play in the……

“Great location for exploring the Redwoods”

“Pool and views were great. There was no river access unless we were supposed to use the private road with a locked gate. We didn't ask but maybe the property manager has more information. Basic amenities, but no wine opener or coffee (except for decaf) so bring everything you think you might need. It got into the upper 80's and the house stays hot until late at night even with fans and open windows. No AC is communicated, but be prepared. A book with checkout procedures and local amenities……
