“Very basic but squeaky clean convent. Limited housekeeping but within acceptable limits. Staff are dedicated, helpful and professional. The premises are a mixture of basic and awesome, the roof terrace is a joy as are the gardens and the two reading rooms, the upper one is more like a state audience hall. Great place to spend a rainy day. The price proposition is unbelievable and the location could not be better despite the small size of the town.”

“Wonderful quiet and clean hotel in a great location to explore many beautiful hill towns in Umbria and Tuscany. Breakfast buffet was amazing and, like all services at the hotel, was very friendly and efficient. Citta della Pieve is an attractive and surprisingly interesting hill town which projects a genuine feel for life in Umbria with relatively few tourists. All in all a great experience at Hotel Vannucci!”

“The address of the hotel was wrong on the Hotels.com web site. After an anxious hour or so our host was kind enough to come and get us, we were on foot walking the Via Francigena and the additional 4 miles back would have been a killer. Our host arranged for a cab the next morning so we were back on schedule. Worth the cab expense to keep on schedule. Wonderful evening meal and a great hotel. I would visit it again.”
