“Beautiful and peaceful. So enjoyed Rachel's guest house. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. Fun watching the cruise ships go by at night and looking up at the millions of stars. Plus the fresh fruits and flowers were a special treat. The home itself was the perfect size for us Just wish we'd had more time to hang out. ”

“We have been to the Big Island many times and staying Waipio Gardens was one of the best trips we've ever had there. It is a beautiful property that provided serenity, great hiking and amazing beach time. The house is nestled in the jungle in the valley with gorgeous plants, fruit trees, lots of birds and even wild horses. We picked and enjoyed fresh oranges, grapefruit and papaya. “All wonderful except for entering the home which wasnot clearly outlined in your communications: *0423 DID NOTOPEN ANY DOORS - finally we were allowed to enter with additional information about keys! after 45 minutes and an equal amount of mosquito bites. Sad Welcome ........”

“We traveled to the area for a college graduation. This home was just right for our needs. It was centrally located for our plans and had enough space so we weren’t on top of each other. We will absolutely keep it in mind for future trips!”

“Spent 4 nights as a family of 4 during our spring break in March. Nice to have room to spreadout (teens each had a room and parents had the ohana room). We appreciated the games/reading material and a fully stocked kitchen (complete with spices to use!) Especially happy with the cooler weather (in 50s each morning and night) and the pheasants/turkey/peacocks that visited the yard. Beautiful view, very calming and quiet neighborhood. The hill provides quite the morning workout!”

“I don’t recall the description of the house saying it was a two story home with two bedrooms in the main house and two beds were in a separate entrance downstairs in t back of the garage. I on had an 88 year Uncle, 82 year old mother, 81 year old aunt and my sisters and I were 60,62 and 64. Not the ideal house for older people. Also, might not be the best neighborhood for a rental unite and the woman across the driveway in the two story green house was very rude. I have lived on this island all……

“This is a comfortable home in a quiet Waimea neighborhood. There’s a beautiful pasture behind the house with a few cows roaming around. It’s a very short drive to grocery stores, restaurants and farmers’ markets. It’s a great location for accessing both sides of the island. It is a bit of a drive to Volcano NP, but still doable. The beautiful Kohala beaches are also close by. We were also close to some great hiking trails. So all in all, this is a great jumping off point for most of the island. ”

“We stayed for 5 nights. The house is lovely, clean, very well equipped. There are thoughtful additions like coolers and ice packs, beach towels, aloe for sunburn! The location is quiet and furnished tastefully, beds also v comfortable. We loved driving all over and seeing the island. If you don’t like driving a lot there isn’t much activity in the immediate neighborhood. ”

“My husband and I stayed with our 3 adult kids. We had a wonderful stay! A tremendous assortment of bedrooms from which to choose, so we all could spread out. The views were amazing! Only word of caution is know there are wild pigs in the area. The pool, water slide, and hot tub were wonderful. The singing frogs at night were amazing. We loved the rain pitter pattering on the roof. The kids fixed wonderful meals in the kitchen. Lots of games to play. The property is expansive. Even the……

“The house was a good size for our family. Quite neighbors and windows open with birds chirping was nice. Nice patio, could use a bbq grill. Had some issues with the dishwasher but the management was responsive. Waimea is pe was plenty to do”

“The Log Cabin was truly our home for the 12 nights. We absolutely couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The location was perfect for visiting family and easy to get to many sightseeing activities, beach days ;) there were 6 adults and 2 kids in our village. Plenty of room! Awesome caretaker on the property too.”
