“Exceeded expectations. We wanted to stay on this side of the island to be farther from the Kona side and tourists. Location was fantasti. Ocean viewable from the house and lanai. Darker in area so star werw spectator. Kitchen and house well stocked with most basics needed. No AC but ceiling fans throughout and windows provide nice breezes Would definitely recommend and stay again! Communication was excellent ”

“We stayed with our kids (6,8) for 4 nights. We deliberately chose this location as we visited this region in 2009 when the Kilauea lava was flowing. To stay on top of the old lava flow was a special feature to show the kids. The location is very remote, the next shops a 15min drive away. A few more houses have been set up around the property, meaning we never had an encounter with the ‘grumpy neighbour’. “Exactly as described. Close and convenient to Volcano National Park. Stayed in the duplex. Neighbors were quiet but could hear them when they came in and left in the morning. Very humid but dehumidifier works okay. Quiet at night. Comfortable bed and good water pressure”

“We loved our stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. The location was great as it was next to volcano national park and not to far from Hilo. It was a quiet accept for the occasional chicken. Everything was as expected and check in was easy. ”

“Loved the view from the living room, dining room, and lanai - 180 degrees of ocean. We even saw whales!!The hosts were very responsive. We had trouble with a bedroom light, they had it fixed the next day. And when the power went out while we were away, they texted to warn us, and supplied flashlights and drinking water to make sure we'd be OK.I can't recommend this place enough!! Next time we travel to Hawaii I hope it's available!”
