“Loved the staff at this property and the unique rooms in the old buildings. Now, the name is misleading… hotel really doesn’t have anything SCUBA related and that was one of the reasons we chose it. No tanks, no scuba gear drying… the neighbouring dive shop does use the garden pool but with the lack of parking using that shop was not a good choice for use. Don’t get me wrong, LOVED Scuba Lodge but if you’re a diver and thinking they cater to divers given the name that is not the case. This……

“We loved our stay at the Renaissance! At check-in, we were upgraded to an ocean view room with a balcony. So, off to a great start right away. The room was beautiful and provided a great ocean view, along with the man made beach. We stayed in room 205, which was perfect for us. Steps away from Starbucks for a quick morning coffee, and just down the hall from the entrance to the beach and pool. The man made beach was beautiful! “The resort grounds and restaurants were beautiful and very well kept. It had such a relaxed vibe and lots of character all throughout the resort. We enjoyed our stay very much. The main issue that we had was that the room itself was not as clean and well kept as the rest of the resort. It seems to be lacking the deep cleaning that should be done in addition to the regular housekeeping. The floor in our room was vinyl and it felt dirty and gross. The floors need an upgrade.
