“The house is large and very beautiful with historic features and charm, overlooking rolling hills. There are very serene pastures surrounding it with charming stone walls. We even saw somewild turkeys on the fields while we were there :). It’s very remote and secluded so you have to make sure you have provisions and gas before you go. The host explained that beforehand and was very responsive. There are no curtains anywhere, which you don’t need for privacy but be prepared to be up at the……

“Group of my closest friends from high school stayed on Red Hill Mountain at this superbly rustic and comfortable Claryville farmhouse. Each of us taking respite from work, family, kids, spouses and modernity, we all spent "Groundhog's Day" weekend hiking, hot tubbing, cooking, watching a movie* and relaxing by the fire. With most stores more than a half-hour away, we took advantage of the large versatile farmhouse kitchen when preparing our meals; which were needed after the 2-mile round-trip……

“The home was beautiful (exactly as shown in the pictures) and a nice get away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. Our kids loved swimming in the pool and using the floats provided. We saw several deer which they loved, and took a walk to visit the cows down the road. There are some nice hikes and restaurants around. The owner was quick to respond to any questions and the house was equipped with all we could need!”

“When I reserved my stay for 34 days (I explained this was not a vacation, I was doing an externship for school), I was told the” cottage” was booked for 3 of the 5 weeks, but an art studio was available to rent. I specifically asked to confirm there was a private bathroom, high speed WiFi, and air conditioning. Prior to my arrival I told that she was going to put me in the cottage for 12 days, then move me to the studio. What could I say. The cottage was nice, but the common area was not air……
