“We stayed here for two nights. Lovely and clean with everything we needed. Very quiet, beautiful views and location and perfect for walking straight from the front door. Very tasty breakfasts. Would definitely recommend. ”

“It was really good. The couple running it were really nice and helpful. Room a bit basic but.nice comfy bed and lovely cotton sheets and towels. They have only been there 6 weeks so early days yet. I think they have plans and have taken on a big project. Good luck to them both.”

“We stayed for one night, June 2025, I wish it had been longer! From start to finish, everything about our stay was lovely. Picturesque building in a beautiful setting. Plenty of room in the private car-park. The staff could not have been friendlier. We ate an evening meal in the pub and it was really lovely. Plenty of choice on the menu, reasonably priced and the food was excellent. Our room was spacious and looked as if it had been recently decorated. Comfortable bed, well-appointed bathroom,……

“This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. We're looking forward to coming back and staying again, as the plans for new menus sound fantastic. Room sizes and facilities are very adequate for a short stay.
