“Superbe endroit! Vue à couper le souffle dans une belle grande maison d’un décor tiré du passé. Le coucher du soleil sur notre terrasse de la cabine 6 était splendide. Bon déjeuner fourni directement à la cabine. Cuisine complète et salle de bain correcte. Il faut marcher en pente pour s’y rendre avec les bagages, la communication a été plus difficile car je ne parle pas portugais, il n’y a pas de réception, il y a peu de restaurants aux alentours. Un petit lézard est venu nous visiter dans……

“Location is perfectly situated in peaceful surroundings yet short drive into town, absolutely beautifully decorated inside and outside, family owned by wonderful people who made us feel more like family than renting guests, breakfast served to your table with homemade honey, marmalades, and meats/regional cheese, and fresh bread! “Armandino and Conceição were terrific hosts. Made us feel right at home. Served a nice little breakfast and coffee. Located a short drive to the center of town. Very easy access to all the places we wanted to visit. Would recommend staying here. ”

“A fine place to stay, but it’s PR is not helped by the unattractive photo of the indoor pool which is prominent in its advertising. I would suggest a shot of the town of Manteigas from the hotel- a beautiful vista indeed.”

“we stayed in one of the sculptures. we liked having 100% privacy (no shared walls/floors/ceiling), the top open to the sky, the large shower, and the firm bed. The fridge was also handy for storing drinks we had bought at the grocery store. The pool was great for dangling feet and enjoying the amazing view. Highly recommend doing the "Ruta de pontes" hike for even better views. The breakfast is great, plenty of options. The dinner not so great, but the moscow mule was great.”

“Palace Hotel & Spa Termas de S. Tiago is well worth a visit, the hotel is spacious, clean, comfortable and well run. The breakfast is self service with everything laid on for you and is of a high quality. The spa facilities are good, the pool has powerful jets that massage well and the staff are welcoming. The gym is small but user friendly. Situated just outside the lovely town of Penamacor in this sleepy area of Portugal, you get a real treat of a retreat here. I will come again and highly……
