“We really loved staying at Villa Il Gelso. Mariacristina was super communicative before the trip, answering all our questions quickly and making planning easy. Once we arrived, she had others checking in with us to make sure everything was going smoothly, which was nice and took the pressure off.The villa itself is gorgeous—comfortable, stylish, and with amazing views. “Very nice villa to relax in the countryside. The town of Fabro is only a 15 minute ride to restaurants, train station(free parking) and other shops. We found the villa to be very spacious and relaxing. One item to note, there was seven cats (at the time of our stay) living outside the doors of the property. We were told to feed, some bring some cat food.”

“Wir verbrachten 2 wunderschöne u. erholsame Wochen in der Filla la fragola. Das Haus bietet alles was es braucht und vor allem der Garten u. der Pool lassen keine Wünsche offen. Die Lage ist trotz der sehr ländlichen Umgebung gut an die Infrastruktur angebunden. Zu Fuß ist man in 10 Minuten im kleinen Ort Chianacce und mit dem Auto kann man alle nähergelegenen Städte, Ausflugsziele etc. erreichen. ”

I tried, but could not capture the beauty of the space in a photograph.We were traveling with our family after our wedding in Florence and wanted a quiet place after the city to celebrate and see more of Italy. “Our stay was absolutely delightful. The house is perched atop a hill, offering sweeping views of the surrounding vineyards—pure Tuscan magic. There’s plenty of outdoor seating to soak in the scenery, and the spacious porch made the perfect setting for unforgettable family dinners while watching the sunset. “The home is beautiful: Wonderfully decorated and lovingly cared for. Views are amazing; Caretakers are lovely and we all fell in love with Zorro the Dog. My only complaint is that the beds were only box springs and could have been more comfortable.”

“Loved this place just driving thru Tuscan countryside to get there! Large house perfect for group. Has everything you need. Great restaurants in Lucignano. Lucignano is great walking walled town. Very quiet & beautiful! You’re 30-40 minutes from Siena, Cortona, Montepulciano. Close to great hiking, biking & great wineries, I didn’t want to leave! Hostess was very friendly & helpful & even helped us with reservations. Any say enough good things about it!!”
