“We were on a 3 week tour of England researching our family roots and history. We were purposely looking for stays in smaller villages/towns. This fit the bill perfectly. Our bedroom was comfortable, the shower hot and the food delicious. The staff couldn’t have been nicer - my wife even felt like maybe we had found long lost family. ”
“I booked a single room with private bathroom. However, it does not locate in the room. I needed to go outside every time I used the closet and even I washed my hands. It’s not what I want for privacy and convenience although I was the only one who kept the bathroom key!”
“The bedrooms are very comfortable. The bed very nice. A shelf in the bathroom would be useful. I would prefer different towels as I expressed while I was there. The breakfast room is charming and very nice to use. We also had a nice cooked breakfast. The cooking was very good first night not so good subsequent nights. Because I can't eat certain things my choice is limited. An expanded menu of tried and tested dishes might be better instead of daily specials that are not thought through. ……
“Quiet, comfortable rooms. Due to the weather, the room was quite hot and hard to cool down. The thick duvet was too much for sleeping, but the pillows and bed were very comfortable. Some instructions in the room on what to do at checkout if reception is not yet open would have been helpful.”
