“Nice art hotel ”

“This is the most beautiful old hotel right in the old city. I had a little trouble finding it as you have to pass through the barriers to get access to the old city. Looking at Google maps, I mistakenly thought access was on the main road. Hristo, the owner, had registered my car details so I was waved through the barrier with no problem. I arrived 15 minutes after the receptionist was supposed to leave but she waited for me. They've gone to a lot of effort to reflect the character of the old……

“A last minute booking. Communication was excellent and the owner let us park and check in early. We enjoyed a coffee at the cafe next door whilst they finished preparing our room. The owner greeted us and spent time showing us the best walking route to take, to see the wonderful town of Plovdiv. The hotel is on the doorstep of the beautiful old town. Breakfast was a very tasty typical Bulgarian breakfast served to your table. We loved our overnight stay and would recommend. ”

“Clean, quiet and comfortable. Good location”

“All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel's owner, Konstantin Kostov, was particularly impressive. Always there, it seemed, and he also gave an excellent talk about the Roman baths underneath the hotel. Whatever I asked of him, he always went the extra yard. Any criticism? I had to work hard to come up with one: the fridge in my room was not cold enough!”

“Handy being right next to the railway station, however, the restaurant was unaccomodating, wouldnt serve dinner OR breakfast due to a football group being there, not even a coffee was supplied for breakfast, had to go in search of food, the city centre is a mile away or 30mins walk.”
