“We were in town for a family wedding and we could not have been happier with our stay. The location makes it super easy to walk to town. My mom stayed at a hotel in the middle of downtown and she walked over or I walked over to her countless times a day. Shops, ice cream, putt-putt golf, kayaking, the beach, and the break wall- so many things you want in town are all right here. “Enjoyed the area and view. House had a good staging for renters too. Excellent spot! Owner needs to know his cleaners could do better job. No dusting done for along time. Upon entering you definitely have the feeling of not a very clean house due to neglect. House was decorated great though and a nice warm feel except for being unkept. We had to clean the grill, lawn chairs and around the house (frigetc) dirty greasy pan left in oven in order to use. We even trimmed an overgrown shrub. They……

“The owner provided a lock box code, so that we could access the front door key. A ring door bell camera system is available to communicate with the owner, but we did not use it. Joe reached out to us several different times by phone and text to make sure that everything was going okay. The Lake Huron beach at the cottage is not a swimming beach, but offered many days of peaceful relaxation. The kitchen had everything we needed for our week long stay. “The house and property exceeded our expectations. The beach is amazing and the provided sand toys/chairs made the stay even more enjoyable. Stairs to get up and down to the beach is a bit of a workout but well worth the view you get from the house. Would definitely stay again! ”

“Nice cabin, great location in Port Austin, easily walkable to the beach, downtown shops, Farmer’s Market. Lots of things provided. Host was helpful and very responsive. Check in was the easiest I think I’ve experienced. Hot water on demand was nice! The cabin itself was a bit small for 5 adults and a baby, but it did work for our weekend. The futon is probably better for kids than an adult. The only area I couldn’t give 5 stars on was cleanliness. It could have been a bit cleaner. ……
