“Had another great long holiday winter weekend at this property with friends and family. Easy access to Elk Mtn for skiing, fun playing on the frozen lake and cozy evenings by the wood stove and TV. Long dirt road to get there but wasn’t hard to navigate and still a close drive to general store (Cables), convenience store/pizzaria (Arlo’s) or restaurants (The Beacon) for weekend needs. “We had a wonderful vacation at Newton Lake! We are formally from Scranton, and it was so nice to have our siblings come to visit. The grandkids loved the kayaks and paddleboards. They spent hours in the lake every day. The cottage was very nice and there was plenty of space for everyone. The extra fridge was a great plus. Our only suggestion is to have a switch for the spotlight so that we could turn it on at night. It was a struggle walking up to the house in the dark.”
