“I had an enjoyable stay. The hotel was quiet and peaceful, with a very clean room and comfy bed. The staff were friendly and helpful.”

“Nice single room, hotels seem to put the single beds on the top floors...car park now charges and the toilet didnt want to flush.bed was creeky. Tv was very small. Otherwise good stay.”

Perfect position for visiting Derby university. Family run hotel and the personal service was great. Thoroughly recommend. ”

“Really lovely property and great evening staff offering a really warm welcome. The morning staff didn't seem quite as enthusiastic but maybe that was just the time of day!? The facilities lose a star because the breakfast is not included and can be very expensive if you include a couple of coffees, orange juice, cereal and cooked breakfast. Great stay overall though.”

“I cannot recommend Marehay hall Farm and host Sharon highly enough. All of the the positive descriptions reviewing a B&B apply here. Whatever your expectations are they will surely be met and exceeded. If you are looking for a quiet oasis to relax and retreat from the hustle of daily life, this is it. The gardens are work in progress and offer the potential to make this a much saught after retreat location. Would we come back. Without a doubt! ”

“Super stay - high quality furnished room, and quiet late on, despite the vibrant atmosphere at the adjoining pub. Only thing I could perhaps find fault with would be the high tog rating for the duvet (which made for a rather warm night !)”

“This was a business trip and I only chose this place due to the fact it was really close to where I was going the following morning... what a great surprise. Comfortable accommodation, sensible cost and a fantastic breakfast in the morning. This is not like your typical chain-hotels. Much more personal and friendly for sure and run by a family, so if you're staying in these parts of the country you should definitely support-local and get yourself in here. ”
