“Aqua guesthouse is a quiet oasis about a 16 minute bike ride into the center or Puerto Morelos where we were able to get groceries. The owners do have bikes for rent for $900 pesos per bike for the week. Walking into town was not ideal as we used the beach entry just a short distance from the guesthouse to town and unfortunately it was full of sargassum and very smelly. “We really enjoyed this property. It is tucked into the jungle, quiet, peaceful, very safe. It is just a few miles from the center of Puerto Morelos, and convenient for daytripping to other places - Valladolid, Ek Balam, cenotes, Playa del Carmen. We had a little confusion about getting let to gated community, but the hosts were able to quickly straighten it out. I guess I would rather have the guards be overzealous than to let just anyone in. “Perfect for a couple wanting to get away from it all including the crowds of Cancun and Playa De Carmen. You can easily walk the beach to Puerto Moreno Beach which is a stunning small town. If you have a car, 10mins tops. All the restaurants there had awesome food. Touristy stores, once you’ve been to one, you’ve been to all. Highly recommended stay!!”
