“Marly and her father Mr. J.R. were incredibly hospitable and had my room ready earlier than expected, which allowed me to rest after travel. The room is a large suite with a kitchen (free snacks!) and balcony view to the Old San Juan colonial district. Wifi and Tv is included, as well as a comfortable a/c. The best thing is its central location in Viejo San Juan so I was able to walk everywhere--I only needed an Uber for the airport and for el Choli to see Bad Bunny. Check out is done on your……

“We had a wonderful stay at this property with our family of 16. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, and the layout of the four private units—three suites downstairs and one large unit upstairs—worked perfectly for our group. “Large property right across the street from the beach. Lots of activities on the property including a large pool. Bathrooms and rooms are a little outdated but in good shape. No A/C but the breeze from the ocean keeps things cool during the evening. The house is from the 50s so its older, but considering all its been through, its in good shape. Lost power on our last night there but this is a common occurrence anywhere you go in PR.”

“A piece of Old San Juan character. Location was centric, close to entertainment and restaurants. Walking distance to everything in Old San Juan. Even with the limitations that the Island might suffer from electricity and water, our host ensured we were cared for by providing water jugs. Very pleased with our stay.”

“We had a great experience, and Casa Lila was a big part of it. The location is exceptional, walking distance from local restaurants, beautiful ocean views, and beautiful neighborhood to walk around and enjoy the historic architecture. The hostess was very responsive and thoughtful. When we arrived the air conditioner was not working in the master bedroom and within hours she had someone there to fix it. “Our trip was overshadowed by hurricane Erin but had no issues from the storm other than rain during our stay. ”

“The stay was ok although I made a reservation for one room and they switched me to another. Same happened with another family member. Also it would have been nice to have some complimentary bottled water. The sink was also way too small. So it was a room good enough to sleep in but not necessary one comfortable enough to relax in. ”
