“This was our family's first time to Candlewood Lake/Squantz Pond. The area is picturesque and the location of this property is perfect. The porch off of the living area directly overlooks Squantz Pond and mountains. The basement was ideal for teenagers with a projector screen, air hockey/pool, and exercise equipment. The bedroom were spacious and beds comfortable. The kitchen/living area are open concept and the whole family could be together. The owner and his daughter are incredibly kind and……

People have mentioned the multiple extension cords and connecting wires and older setup; consider the location like a Catskill cabin but closer down the Hudson Valley with some modernized upgrades to fit the house size particularly in the kitchen. We had a few mishaps, including accidentally locking ourselves out late at night, and the host was incredibly kind and flexible, assisting us promptly each time. “The house was perfect for our Hudson Valley excursion with family. Kids loved the arcade games and skylights. We were able to get to Bear Mountain, Mohonk and Hyde Park extremely easily. Excellent walk down to the river and quiet neighborhood. Loved it.”
