“We booked for a one night stay, as we were attending our Aunts 80th Birthday party and had to travel a distance. Our evening meal was acceptable as traditional pub grub and the service/staff were very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was FAB, we had a full English and couldn't fault. Our room was in the main building and an 'old' room as we had to duck down when entering BUT there was a sign to watch your head AND the room was excellent, very clean and all the makings for tea/coffee and……

“Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. Kitchen is on lowest floor. Entry and dining and parlor are on street level, and there is no bathroom on that floor. So it’s a trek from kitchen to loo. The top floor……
