“This cottage was the perfect place for a weekend getaway in the Charlottesville area! It has a nice secluded feel and yet is close to wineries, grocery stores, etc. We were not bothered at all by the train or cars on 250. The house itself is even more charming than in the pictures with carefully selected touches for a tea room vibe. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Mary was very responsive to questions and all instructions were very helpful. I would definitely love to return!”

“Merrie Mill was a wonderful experience in a stunning setting…”

“As my decades-ago college roommate and I met up to spend time together at this beautiful property, the setting was perfect. The setting is gorgeous, with a gentle stream, running alongside it, plenty of birds up in the nearby woods, and nice spaces outside to sit and enjoy nature. We even sat outside one evening on the porch to watch an incoming thunderstorm, and it was magical.The amenities in the home reflected deep and thoughtful consideration of what guests might need. “We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage in Keswick over Labor Day weekend. The outdoor space was perfect for relaxing — we loved dining at the table outside and spending evenings around the fire pit. The location was also ideal for exploring the area; we enjoyed visiting Monticello and Carter Mountain Orchard during our trip. A peaceful, comfortable getaway that made our holiday weekend truly special!”

“The Plainfield Cottage is a perfect getaway. We came in for a graduation and were quite busy. However, each time I stepped into the cottage, it felt peaceful, bright and clean. A great retreat to unwind and relax at. Cathy was very attentive on any needs we needed, as there were few because it was well stocked.”

“A friend and I stayed at this fine cottage over the weekend. We came to do some astrophotography at Big Meadows and didn’t feel like camping with our photography gear. So we stayed at this Cottage. Beds where comfortable, there was bottles of water in frig for us, kuerig coffee , and a box of chocolate chip cookies for us to eat. It was a very clean place easy to relax in. I could tell the details matter to this host. I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends looking……

We loved hanging out on the deck. The mountain air was cool, and there weren't any mosquitos. We even had deer visit us every night! It was perfect. The furniture was nice and just right. Nothing breakable for two growing boys. The big TV with our favorite streaming apps meant we could have family movie……
