“The location alone is spectacular, particularly in mid-fall, though the boats are absolutely right that it's a cell phone wasteland. Fortunately the house WiFi can handle all but the most intense gaming loads (bandwidth is great but satellite-level pings) and has plenty of TVs board games, and other pastimes for those seeking a digital detox. “We had a great time at Cheryl’s cabin! The river (across railroad tracks and through a small strip of trees- about 2 min walk) is beautiful! We tried to tube the river but it was a bit low in areas. We enjoyed it nonetheless - down river is remote and scenic. There are a few swim holes near the cabin (about 4 to 5 feet deep in spots) that are beautiful with clear water, sand/rock beaches, and large rocks cropping out of the river bed. We hiked around the property looking for small caves, and……

“You spend so much time picking a vacation spot for your family. It has to be affordable, clean, well taken care of and as described. We’ve been let down more times than I’d like to admit.We traveled in two cars and because my wife and I had to stop for a grocery pickup, my daughter, son and granddaughter went ahead to the rental and I was so relieved when I got a text “IT IS SO CUTE!”.A little later when we arrived with the groceries I was so happy when I seen them come out on the porch smiling……

“My husband and I had an amazing stay at Cheryl’s property. The original place we rented had some water issues so prior to our arrival, we were contacted and offered the Deerling which happened to be bigger with no additional charge. I really appreciated that, it was very nice and accommodating. The place was immaculate. So clean, cute decor, and very secluded which is exactly what my husband and I were looking for. We were able to bring our dog and he loved all the space to run around and……
