“My best friend and I chose Sandstone for our annual girls trip this past Labor Day weekend. While the dirt road was semi terrifying to get there, once we arrived, we had an amazing time. The space was perfect for wine drinking and self-care we planned to do. The rain changed our plans to use the fire pit, but even with the rain we still say outside for tea. Thank you to Cheryl and Derrick! You were very communicative and made the process very easy and enjoyable!”

“The location alone is spectacular, particularly in mid-fall, though the boats are absolutely right that it's a cell phone wasteland. Fortunately the house WiFi can handle all but the most intense gaming loads (bandwidth is great but satellite-level pings) and has plenty of TVs board games, and other pastimes for those seeking a digital detox. The hosts were great with communication, offering to help when needed but also perfectly willing to keep a distance when we wanted to embrace the……

“amazing property. No cell service. They have wifi. If you've never visited before, I recommend arriving before they close. if you can't arrive before 5pm, I recommend you confirm exact directions to where you are staying. The directions given are to the general property and the property is really big. So unless you know exactly where you are going, you will get lost. Don't be like me and make certain you know exactly where on the property you will be staying. It is worth it. ”

“We rented this for a trip to snowshoe mountain. The host was very helpful and left notes to follow around the house. The cabin was very cozy and welcoming. You can see deer in the backyard if you leave feed. The host had the fireplace going and a batch of muffins ready when we arrived. That fireplace was also amazing for warming up after a day in the snow.”

“It was very comfortable, but if the fan could have run without the light on, in the other side of the room, that would have been nice. I didn’t personally like the kitchen being downstairs. The cabin was clean and well prepared for guests. Well thought out floor plan, small but cozy. Quiet. Enjoyable, just the downstairs kitchen was not expected. Thank you for having us. ”

“Our first trip to west Virginia couldn't have been better, the Tiny Barn is the perfect size for us and our pup. We wish we could have stayed longer, the property was peaceful and beautiful. Kim, our host, was kind enough to give some hiking recommendations and we saw shooting stars at night! Absolutely magical trip, we will definitely try to stay again! ”

“Needs to be a lot cleaner, TV system needs upgraded, shower needs a grab bar or something?? Cost is too high! You should provide at least a bottle of wine for the cost. It is a beautiful area that deserves better. There's no TLC and it shows!”
