“The bathroom lock door is non-existent and broken. There are some stains on the carpet. Quite disappointing that there is no mini fridge in the room. ”

“We were upgraded to penthouse so it was fab. That said check in details weren’t sent and I had to call a few times to get them. When I got them over the phone they were incorrect. Ken saved the day when we arrived. He was a gent. Penthouse was lovely. ”

“Really Clean , staff super helpful. Room comfortable and had lots of amenities. Only downsides was noise from other rooms waking us up early. We had breakfast on one day and found that by the time we had arrived the hot buffet section was lacking ”

“It was very convenient for Haydock Park races, parking available and a 10 to 15 minute leisurely walk. Staff were friendly and welcoming and managed to have a room ready beforecwe set off for the races.”

“Booked to stay as we were attending the wedding of our nephew. Early wedding so had to leave our bags in the car until after 2pm check-in. Not really a problem but would have been nice to hang my extra clothes earlier. Staff polite and helpful. Room OK but no aircon so quite warm. There was a desk fan in the room so that helped. Breakfast was good with a variety of continental and cooked breakfast. Refreshed regularly”

“OK for an overnight stay. Our room had a view of a shipping container in the yard - not the hanging gardens of Babylon or a herd of wildebeast that we'd hoped for! (The reception staff member was too young to remember Fawlty Towers, so the comment went over his head....). Had to ask at the bar for glass tumblers for water needs in the night and to hold toothbrushes. Some noise from Friday night entertainment but stopped at 11pm so not an issue. ”

“This is a good hotel built at a Services Area suitable for breaks in between journeys. Staying in for one night is nit a bad idea except that its location is not that easy to find.”
