Location is great, got to see barges pass each other along the lazy river, many golf opportunities, and supper clubs abound. “This is a very comfortable home with a spectacular view. Perfect for our group. Worked well as a vacation spot for the family member who needed to be at Mayo for appointments one of the days—less than an hour drive away. “The rental was clean and spacious. It had everything that we needed. Worked well for our small family. I visted with my wife and our 2 and half year old. It felt like a rental not someones home(thats our preference for vrbos). They even had a small box of toys which my son enjoyed. Its not overpowering but you can tell the owner is battling mositure and humidty issues so might be an issue for some renters if sensitve to that type of thing. Near decent bars and restaurants, quick drive to winona……

"Staying at the Alexander Mansion felt like stepping back in time to an era of elegance and warmth. Every piece of furniture and every lamp tells a story—but what truly made this stay unforgettable was the hospitality of the 80-something host, a former chef, who graciously prepared a beautiful and heartfelt breakfast ceremony for us. His kindness and attention to detail gave our journey a sense of home and heartfelt care. Thank you for not only providing a charming place to stay, but for making every guest feel seen, welcomed, and cherished. This will remain one of the warmest memories of my travels.
