“Can’t call it a river cabin, because it’s far too nice for that! This is a beautiful, spacious totally finished house on the Tobacco River between Clare and Farwell, MI. Every need for their guests is anticipated and taken care of. Beautiful kitchen, island bar, comfy couches in the great room. Outdoor deck and table overlooking the fast moving (shallow) river. Spacious yard. Close to town but far enough away to be peaceful. Some visitors have commented on this being on a busy 2 lane highway,……

“This unit has everything you need in it. The only thing you need to bring is food. Close to golf courses, the casino, a beautiful park is not far down the road. We had a blast!”

“This house was great for our girls weekend! A lot of bunk beds, but we did our best to make it work. Some of our group are older women and it was not safe for them to adventure to a top metal bunk bed, but we were aware of that when we booked. Not a negative, just something to consider. The lake is very "mushy" and not really swim worthy, but a nice view! The indoor pool is AMAZING! The host is wonderful, very responsive and understanding. Tip: Ask for the FULL list of house rules prior to……

“Really didn’t get to take in the full effect of Silver Lake, as this was just used as a mid way destination to the UP. However the cottage was very nice and cozy! Hot tub was nice and warm. Would visit again!”

“Clean, cool and comfortable! Honestly can't recommend enoughl. The open floor space is great for socializing without feeling cramped. Coffee pods, shower items and laundry detergent/sheets were kindly provided. The neighborhood is quiet. And best of all, the back deck is incredibly calming! Watch the lovely Chippewa river go by, check out all the beautiful native birds visiting the feeder (get your Merlin app ready!), and enjoy the turtles, trout and other lovely wildlife who come to visit!……

“This place was well stocked and clean. We had plenty of room to sleep and relax. The deck overlooking the lake was a favorite spot. If you wake up early the sun shines in and lights up the whole common area. It was beautiful. ”

“It was a great all inclusive getaway. We never left the 4 days we were there. I was very impressed with the amount of gates used. This made the young mom’s feel more comfortable knowing their kids were safe. The beach was smaller than expected but still good. Dock was in an awkward spot so we never used it.”

“We enjoyed the house, it was roomy and pretty clean. I would suggest that housekeeping uses unscented soaps and dryer sheets when washing sheets & towels. I am highly sensitive to scents and had a hard time however I brought my own sheets and even though I used my own sheets the scent was still there probably from the mattress cover. The towels were just as bad. Also, the listing should state no swimming at the property. I would not have known that if I hadn’t sent a text to the owner regarding……
