“We stayed in late Oct 2024. Cabin is older, but very clean. Was a bit chilly in the main room in the evenings (temps in low to mid 40’s); the heaters seemed to have some trouble keeping up. There is a wood burning fireplace in the main room which would have helped, I’m sure, but we were just there in the evenings and didn’t go to the trouble to build a fire. There is an electric fireplace in the bedroom, so it stayed adequately warm at night. The views were beautiful of the sunrises on Lake……

“We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the access to the shoreline. We had an issue with the septic alarm going off and had to call the property manager. He answered right away and told us how to silence the alarm. We appreciated the quick response. My only suggestion would be updating the oven. We would definitely stay here again. ”

“Very Clean and well set up. The yard is pretty with a beautiful surround of cedar and birch trees. No mosquitoes at all on our stay, come to find out Cedar Trees are a natural repellent. Love it, and would book it again.”

“We had a girls weekend that included mothers and daughters. There was plenty of space for all 10 of us. It did take a while to heat the house and we didn't have hot water for the first half of the stay but property management was very responsive and helped as much as they could. I was a little disappointed as it snowed and nothing was shoveled. We quickly retrieved a shovel and got to work. Overall i would 100% stay here again. ”

“Our family has stayed at Collings Log House multiple times. And we keep returning. Its location is perfect, surroundings serene, the cabin just the right size for us. With multiple visits, we feel like “we’re home” when we arrive. Communication is quick between the management and ourselves when needed. I’m now plotting when I can return….happiest holidays to you and yours. ”

“This was our third stay at Roo Retreat for a relaxing winter long weekend. We love the proximity to Coyote Roadhouse and the short distance to the public lake access for ice skating or just walks on the ice. The house has plenty of space for us and our two teenagers to have our own space. We love making meals in the adorable kitchen, playing games in the dining room, and watching movies in the living room with a fire in the fireplace. We will be back. ”
