“We stayed in late Oct 2024. Cabin is older, but very clean. Was a bit chilly in the main room in the evenings (temps in low to mid 40’s); the heaters seemed to have some trouble keeping up. There is a wood burning fireplace in the main room which would have helped, I’m sure, but we were just there in the evenings and didn’t go to the trouble to build a fire. There is an electric fireplace in the bedroom, so it stayed adequately warm at night. The views were beautiful of the sunrises on Lake……

We had an issue with the septic alarm going off and had to call the property manager. He answered right away and told us how to silence the alarm. We appreciated the quick response. “We enjoyed our stay at Stonehedge View. It is bright and cheerful and meticulously clean. We appreciated that it was dog friendly yet still well-decorated and maintained. The layout was open, and the windows brought a lot of light in. The fireplace was so easy to just turn on with a switch. We liked the location as it was private with a spacious backyard and fire pit. Communication with the property manager was efficient as we had to contact them via email because the garbage did not get picked……

With multiple visits, we feel like “we’re home” when we arrive. Communication is quick between the management and ourselves when needed. “This is one of the best vacation rentals we have ever been in and we have been in a few over the years. There is pride shown in the workmanship throughout this home. The property is perfectly located for access to the towns center. We could walk to town in 5 minutes and be in the center of the shops and restaurants. Our age group was in the middle 60’s. The wood floors, walls and slab logs through out the property provided a warmth to the home. There is an abundance of room on the main floor,……

“Overall very nice. Our 2nd time staying here. All appliances worked fine, no breakdowns. Things to improve upon are a couple more frying pans would have been nice. The shower curtain in the main needs replacing badly. Unfortunate we could not use the fire pit, fireplace, or have a grill to cook on. We really love the place and we will be back ”

“A few hiccups, code to get in didn’t work. Would have been nice to have outside water turned on. Some things like towels and washcloths stained with makeup, dingy and gray, didn’t feel clean. Heat vent in bathroom rusted from overspray of pee next to toilet. Stained dishes that cleaned up after a couple washes. Back step to deck is a significant drop, almost fell twice. Could be a better 2 step stop instead of one drop. Other than that, was a little close to the main Hwy 42 so we were a……

“Rogers Cottage was recommended by a friend who had stayed there several years ago. It was even more wonderful than she said. Clean. Amenities up to date and in good order and it's right on the bay. Got to see the sunrise each morning, and watch the great blue heron and loons in the afternoon. Good location, isolated but near anything we wanted.
