“Beautiful property. Gorgeous home renovated with its historical importance captured nicely. I ended up being the only guest and enjoyed the many amenities the house had to offer. The second floor balcony brought a peace and tranquility I didn’t even realize I needed. Watched the small town wake up while sipping coffee under a blanket. I feel very fortunate to have found this property and look forward to staying again. ”

“My husband, parents, our 2 pups and I, all stayed in this comfortably quaint home just for one night. We were on our way back to Ohio from Oak Island, NC, and it was a lovely middle point to rest for the night. Laura was very accommodating to allow us to bring our 2 pups who travel with us everywhere. She was also kind to let us check-in a little early as we made good time. “Yes, it was a little out of the ordinary, but that's a good thing! Easiest "camping" experience you'll ever have. Your own private (new, flush) commode, kitchen, and huge shower! A/c and heat in the camper. What more could you want? Definitely an adventure in the hills of eastern Virginia.”

“Had a lovely time. House is great and beautifully furnished. Enjoyed all the rooms. Some suggestions: 1. the bunk bed room was freezing cold, might want to add a heat source 2. You should advertise that there are two refrigerators in the kitchen. We loved that, but we all brought large coolers for beverages and they weren’t needed. 3. Problem in the upstairs bathroom, the sink did not drain properly. May want to look at that immediately. 4. Those who used that upstairs bath suggested……

“We first visited Tazewell 3 years ago when there was 8 of us riding the Back of the Dragon and we had a great stay at The Litz.This visit was great even though there was only 2 of us, we had the whole house to ourselves. It was like a grown-up version of Home Alone!”

“We loved our stay at the mansion and it meet our overnight needs perfectly. We thought we were the only ones there, but in the morning there were several other guests so that attests to how quite it was. The kitchen and living and dining areas were wonderful. I really appreciated the coffee after a somewhat wet hiking experience. ”

“My mother and I wanted to visit the town where she was born and look for some clues to fill in the gaps in her family tree recording. This location was perfect, conveniently a block or so off of the main street but the trees and landscaping made it feel remote and secluded. The unique experience of staying in a historic home whose architecture has been honored yet updated for some modern convenience was fantastic. The communication with the host was prompt and friendly. “We stayed 2 nights in the carriage house at the Litz mansion. Immaculate- great steam shower, comfortable bed and pillows/ Everything you could want or need! Considering places to stay in the area, the Litz house and the especially the carriage house are way better than the other options.”
