“Great staff, bar was packed on arrival but we were checked in to our room straight away. Far too busy & noisy to eat in the bar, so they opened the restaurant for us and another couple so that we could eat in peace. Despite the number of customers we were served quickly and efficiently. Very good food. Room was a bit tired, flaking paint and in need of a bit of updating but the bed was comfortable and the room reasonably quiet even though on a main street. “Old Post Office Hotel is a decent hotel located conveniently in the town centre of Shrewsbury.”

“Lovely clean rooms but would be better if the TV was mounted on the wall so that the mirror could be better used, an extra chair or stool in the bedroom would also be helpful as I had to kneel on the floor. Normally this would not have bothered me but we were getting ready for a wedding.”

“A little remote, but in a nice environment. Nice and cosy, and run by a old couple. The only drawback for an overall top marks is because of the shower, although it is newly installed, it is difficult to operate and the water pressure is somewhat too low to have a nice shower. The worst part is the wall inside the shower cubicle is dirty but consider the old couple are working hard to run the hotel and also the nice letters restaurants, so it is not a complaint, just would like to point it……
