The hot tub was not working just prior to our stay and everyone involved worked extra hard to have it ready for our stay which we very much appreciated. Communication was good through the property manager, but what impressed us the most was the actual owner of the property was very invested and stayed connected throughout the prior weeks and during our stay! It’s absolutely beautiful, well-maintained, and offers activities for all ages. The home itself is huge and inviting, but it's location to the town of Newport for gas, groceries, and take-out make it really stand out. This home has SO many bedrooms to accomodate our large group. We really appreciated having spaces to both be together (multiple living rooms, the game room/garage, and the kitchen/dining spaces) as well as the many bedrooms to have quiet space to recharge as well. “My brother and I were traveling for our Uncle's funeral. We were thrilled to find the Perkins House was available. The house reminded us of our grandparents house in Harrison, ME. It brought us back in time to days of our childhood. I definitely want to return with my family to enjoy the Lakewood Theatre and the lake.”

“This is an incredible property with fun for the whole family. More than enough room throughout with all the amenities one could ask for. Screened in porch with a lakeside view is the perfect place to enjoy relaxing times outside free from bugs. The kayaks and paddle boards allow for comfortable exploring of the majestic Whitstone lake. Make dinner in the beautiful open kitchen or grill on the barbecue downstairs.
