Also, they are building a new house at the bottom of the property, so it's a little dangerous having to walk thru a construction site to get to the beach down below. Alejandro, Enrique, and Anika were outstanding hosts, going above and beyond to assist us with transportation to the lake. While the journey to Lake Atitlan can be challenging and dangerous, the mesmerizing view and the luxurious villa made the adventurous journey worth it. The villa was absolutely lovely! The food at the hotel was by far the best we had anywhere in Guatemala. The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. The room was stunning. And we absolutely loved San Marcos - everything you need is at most a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Truly can't recommend Kula Maya enough. ”
