“You will not find a more unique property or fascinating couple who are your hosts. They designed this volcanic tent/cottage resort with a panoramic view of Lake Atitlan and her Volcanoes. An amazing dining hall/bar etched into the volcanic rock with cusine made from scratch from your incredible Hosts Jochen y Gabbie. The sous vide steak/lomito was delicious. The nights under the moon and stars with the sounds of nature all around, make this a must stay at the lake. Hosts will hire private boats……

“This was quite possibly the best hotel we've ever stayed at. The views of the lake from every vantage point on the property are beyond stunning. The food at the hotel was by far the best we had anywhere in Guatemala. The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. The room was stunning. And we absolutely loved San Marcos - everything you need is at most a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Truly can't recommend Kula Maya enough. ”

“This hotel in villas was an oasis of calm a block away from the clamor of the main road. Waking up to Birdsong is one memory I will cherish in this place. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast good too. It’s located about a 10 minute walk from the Atitrans shuttle stop or the Embarcadero, and about 15 minutes from the public beach. I recommend this for anyone thinking of staying in Panajachel.”

“We truly enjoyed our stay at Aviva. Rooms were really great with unique touches. The bed was probably the best I ever had. Great coffee service and lots of little lovely details. “I have had this property on my radar for years because i have seenit all over social media. The room was beautiful and clean. The only thing was the water drainage was a little sluggish in the shower and the water pressure was not great. Otherwise, the property was absolutely beautiful especially the money shot of the infinity pool with the Volcanoes in the background. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. ”

“This property is gorgeous! We loved sitting on our front porch area and enjoying the gardens. The place is gated and has security at all times so we always felt very safe on the property. The room was cleaned every day and it was always quiet after 10 PM. There’s a lot of amenities on the property. It was super convenient to walk over to the restaurant whenever we wanted a snack or a drink. We lounged by the pool and used their free kayaks. They were also able to help us schedule transportation……
