“We booked the presidential room 401. The staff are excellent and good location. Lunch/dinners great. Lots of room for improvement. Room had black mold &paint peeling everywhere. Breakfast very subpar. They give you 1 cup of coffee & have to pay for anymore and also none on the room. Won’t even give you butter with toast without extra charge. We stayed with another couple who had room 301 and said the floors were gross. Our bathroom window faces the stairs so anyone walking from floor 5 to 4 can……

“Very helpful staff, they helped me to do printing of ticket, to order taxi and to talk a bus company who didn't send me email of purchased ticket. Room is spacious and very clean. Breakfast at terrace was really nice. Though you have to walk for 10 mins to plaza de arms, it was worth walking coz for the price and peaceful atmosphere of the place. Highly recommend!”

“Fantastisch hotel, gerund door een Peruaanse familie. Echte aanrader. Goed gelegen, en gevestigd in een mooi historisch koloniaal huis. De service tijdens ons verblijf was uitmuntend. We hebben dat op een bijzondere manier mogen ervaren. Zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij, en veel extra hulp toen mijn vrouw ziek werd. Nog zeer veel dank daarvoor! We hopen nog eens terug te komen naar Arequipa. We zullen dan zeker weer een kamer boeken bij El Balcon.”
