“The room is big and the city is lovely. but it's really really troublesome to park the car due to the hotel is located in ZTL zone. You have to park your car somewhere outside of the old town, and walk to the hotel to figure out how to park, then get a green card from the reception to display it on your windshield to avoid being fined by the police when drive in to unload the luggage, then drive out of the old town to find a parking space, then walk back to the hotel (6-8 mins walk). “Beautiful grounds and environment, very idillic and scenic. We were able to catch a stunning sunset on the first night. However, the sunrise was blocked by a hill. The breakfast was decent with a good selection. The staff was friendly. We came in late March, so the grapevines were just stubs. Also, their Michelin restaurant was closed so we had to drive out to get dinner. Also none of the wine tours had started yet, and there were no free wine in the rooms (although you can purchase bottles)”

“This is the 4th time we stayed in this hotel . I love the fact that it’s like a retreat hotel . You are there to relax and soak yourself to the natural hot spring . The restaurant have fabulous healthy breakfast and dinner . I love Val D’Orcia . It’s a relaxing town with beautiful scenery and same time so close to Montalcino and the surrounding well known and one of the best Brunello makers . Not forget to mention the underrated but very nice town , San Querico . Also love the neighbor Pienza .……

“Such an oasis of calm and relaxation. The room was large and cool with a very comfortable bed. The pool was beautiful and very refreshing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A wonderful setting and just a short walk from the beautiful town and many fantastic restaurants. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting Montepulciano.”
